About This Game The Great War 1918 is a WW1 modification for Company of Heroes, focusing on the last year of the First World War. Currently it features the British Expeditionary Force and the German Empire as opposing factions; however new nations will be brought over time, such as France and Austria-Hungary. The mod focuses on a realistic and accurate representation of warfare in 1918 while keeping a balanced and enjoyable gameplay. Experience the great operations of the last year of the Great War as Germany breaks through the Western Front in the Spring Offensive; as the Entente, liberate France and Belgium in the Hundred Days offensive. Look forward to heavy artillery strikes and the infamous gas attacks. I do like me some good COH mods, and this is one of them. Its really quite good, with some well thought out gameplay with the odd little bug here and there but as a mod, and heck, if it was a game its well worth your time.. Solid WW1 mod for the game, and with the French joining in on the fray soon, it will be an almost complete World War 1 trench combat experience, and I say almost since there are a few nations such as Austro-Hungaria, the Ottoman Empire, Bulgaria, Belgium and the Russian Empire that are missing.But given the game engine's complexity and time to make and implement assets properly, they've done a damn good job at it.I just hope modders for this game received more support from Relic, sadly it's not the case..
